Mandriva
Gnucash is shipped with Mandriva Linux distribution. So you can easily install it by selecting it in the Control Center, with Add/Remove Software. As new Mandriva versions are released every 6 months, and you may not want to upgrade a working system only to get a newer/bugfixed Gnucash.
So instructions follow for a particular way to get a more recent Gnucash on your Mandriva system.
