This is an excellent document, concise and clear. I agree with the Proposed Policy.

My only suggestion is to use the term "AI" or "AI Tool" instead of "Large Language Model / LLM" because:

  • It matches the title of the policy.
  • It encompasses other types of AI tools.
  • It is more future proof.

AI on its own covers too much ground. How about "Generative AI" instead of "Large Language Model"? The issue addressed here, as I try to lay out in the Scope section, is tools that produce the words and symbols on their own with the human only setting the general direction in contrast with e.g. a code-completion tool that provides a completion list of symbols when the human begins typing.
