PR planning

Overview

This page serves as a central location for GnuCash's PR planning. It is currently setup for the 2.2.0 release. See also gnucash-devel thread http://lists.gnucash.org/pipermail/gnucash-devel/2007-May/020595.html

Here's the point: When 2.2.0 is released it will be a big deal. With this release we break into the mass market: Windows.

Milestones

1. Prepare release announcements (multiple languages: English, German. Any other? Brazil Portugese?)
2. Create tarballs
3. Build Windows installer
4. Website announcement
5. Distribute announcement to press

Each task should have one person assigned as being responsible for this.

Please list all places we should provide announcements to. Also you should check http://www.google.de/search?q=gnucash+windows occasionally to see how many sites already picked up these news, even without any further press work from our side.
