I'm just an ordinary consumer, using GnuCash to balance his checkbook, set up a budget, and get my finances in order. After being frustrated with an old 2004 version of Quicken, and not wanting to get in the cycle of forking over cash every couple years for the "upgrade tax", I decided to ditch Quicken and try something else.

I've been fairly happy with GnuCash as a replacement, but I noticed a lack of in-depth and/or quality documentation in a few areas so far. I am a Software Engineer by day, and I hope to be able to figure out how things work and share my knowledge by documenting features as I go along.
