The following files store parts of the user configuration:
Name Meaning config-<rev>.user config-<rev>.auto saved-reports-<rev> stylesheets-<rev>
where <rev> is a revision number like 2.4.
Source: load_user_config in gnucash-bin.c
Beneath this other parts are stored using the GConf daemon.
