Which use would a program have for most users without a graphical user interface?

  • GnuCash 3.0 and up are using GTK3 as GUI.
  • The GnuCash 2.x series was using GTK2 as GUI.
  • Cutecash was a proof of concept for some more modern approachs using QT4.
  • GnuCash's ancestor XAccountant was using Motif.
